How was the honeymoon + where did you go? Our honeymoon was a dream. We went to St. Marteen, but also spent a day in St.Barts. Best wedding gift you received? On the morning of the wedding, I received diamond earrings from Russ. The best gift we received as a couple was given to us by Russ’ aunts; a shadow box with our save the date/wedding invitation and other keepsakes! Favorite part about being married? EVERYTHING. We were already a family, Russ, myself and Cassius (our dog), but knowing that we are a true family. Knowing that I have my best friend and my rock by myside everyday. Why did you choose lolagraceEVENTS? Rachael’s professionalism, flexibility and willingness to think outside the box. What was the best part of working with the lolagraceTEAM? Rachael’s organization. She was always on top of every detail. The day of the wedding, she anticipated what we needed before we could even say it. She made sure the flow was seamless, and took care of issues that came up without alarming us. What surprised you most about the planning experience? How many little details there really are! Would you recommend a friend or family member to lolagraceEVENTS? Most Def! After having been through the “antibride” experience, how would you explain it to other brides-to-be? It’s for brides who still love being a bride, but maybe are just a bit busier or a little older, or aren’t “typical” in the sense that they want a wedding that’s a little outside the box. Did you hold back on the wedding kiss? We thought we would, we didn’t want to “make out” in front of our family, and still didn’t, but def the emotion of the day did take over!
